Ingredients

  • Hawthorn 15g
  • Lotus leaf 12g

Principle

Hawthorn may dilate coronary arteries, relax vessels, and lower lipids and blood pressure; lotus leaf contains quercetin and related components that may expand coronary vessels, improve myocardial circulation, and briefly lower pressure. Together they activate blood, resolve stasis, reduce fat, resolve accumulation, and support blood pressure.

Effects & uses

Suitable for hypertension with hyperlipidemia—especially in summer heat—with head heaviness, chest tightness, and elevated lipids (syndrome differentiation required).

Method

  1. Wash hawthorn and lotus leaf.
  2. Simmer together 15–20 minutes.
  3. Strain; drink in place of tea.

How to use

  • Drink frequently as tea, 1 dose daily.

Caution

Not suitable for spleen-stomach deficiency-cold or excess stomach acid. Use hawthorn with caution in pregnancy. Daily dietary food care is not a substitute for medication.
