Ingredients

  • Corn silk 50g
  • Plantain seed (cheqianzi) 20g
  • Raw licorice root 10g

Principle

Corn silk clears heat and promotes urination—increased urination may help small stones pass; plantain seed promotes urination and unblocks lin; licorice harmonizes the formula. Together they clear heat, promote urination, and unblock lin to expel stones.

Effects & uses

Suitable as adjunct expelling-stone tea in early kidney stones when stones are small (syndrome differentiation required).

Method

  1. Wash corn silk, plantain seed, and raw licorice.
  2. Decoct 500 ml water down to 400 ml; strain.

How to use

  • Warm in three divided doses daily.

Caution

Large stones or significant symptoms require medical care. Daily dietary prescription; not a substitute for medication.
