Ingredients

  • Ginger 3 slices
  • Red jujubes 5 (pitted)
  • Yam 30g
  • Rice 50g
  • Brown sugar a little (optional)

Ginger warms yang and dispels cold; red jujube and yam strengthen spleen and supplement qi. The congee warms yang, strengthens spleen, and supplements qi and blood—suited to spleen-kidney yang deficiency in menopause (syndrome differentiation required).

Effects & uses

Suitable for menopause with spleen-kidney yang deficiency—cold intolerance, distension, fatigue, low spirits (syndrome differentiation required). Does not replace standard treatment.

Method

  1. Simmer ginger and jujubes 10 minutes; add yam and rice; cook into congee; brown sugar optional.

How to use

  • Eat warm once daily.

Caution

Not suitable when hot flashes and night sweats are prominent (yin deficiency tendency). Daily dietary food care is not a substitute for medication.
