Ingredients

  • Fresh figs 6
  • Honey 50 ml

Principle

Figs clear heat, generate fluids, strengthen spleen, and reduce swelling; honey clears heat, tonifies middle, moistens dryness, eases pain, and opens the bowels. Together they clear damp-heat and reduce swelling.

Effects & uses

For painful hemorrhoid flares with bleeding and heat-type constipation; timely use during flares may help reduce recurrence (pattern differentiation required).

Method

  1. Simmer washed figs in 1000 ml water; after boiling, simmer 15 minutes on low heat.
  2. Strain about 200 ml liquid, cool slightly, stir in honey.

How to use

  • Eat figs and drink liquid morning and evening; often 2–3 days for effect, or 5 days as one course.

Caution

Diabetes or honey sensitivity—use cautiously. Surgical indications cannot be treated by diet alone. Food-care only—not a drug substitute.
